After conducting lesson 1 and discussing the different perspectives of the Land Rush have students watch this clip from the 1992 Hollywood film, Far and Away, in which the two perspectives are displayed, if only briefly. Group discuss Hollywood's portrayal and how this portrayal may affect and inform an audience about how to interpret a historical event.
